JEI Waldwick in NJ certainly fails to observe the spirit of the organization they represent as franchise operators. They also represent themselves as associated with the FIRST movement but fail to conduct themselves in their spirit and in my humble opinion only seek to profit from the noble ideals proposed by FIRST and its founders. Most disappointing! Beware of their practices!
I believe the center has moved its location to North Street. Extremely comprehensive and helpful learning center. The director has many years of experience working with students and knowledge of the material. There is a teacher always present while students work in a small group setting. This is what sets it apart from Kumon, where the child is left alone to work on his/her own- the "checker" solely checks problems and assigns more work. I have found that the JEI method is more of a tutoring center because the children receive more attention. This branch also has an intensive SAT program (called Michael Academy) for high school students and is taught by teachers from area public high schools.
My daughter really enjoys this place. She is in kindergarten and goes for math enrichment.
